Beggars

Hi readers!
Hopefully, all of you have a pleasant day. Thanks for visiting my blog. Keep reading you all :)

Ad populum appeal to pity evokes sympathy or pity in the other person in an attempt to make the person to accept a conclusion as correct.

Last Friday I went to night market at Sentul area. Suddenly, one woman touched me and ask for money. She said that she want to buy a food. Actually, there are several people that ask for donation but they just hold a box and hope for people to donate but this woman touched any people. I shocked on that time.

From my sight, I saw her have a good physical and use a proper dress. I don't look her as a poor people. She is looks like a foreigner. I remembered the news that I read. Actually, I don't trust to person who like to begging to others people. I prefer to donate at mosque or give to person who really need it. I can accept for person who are disability if they are begging but not for person who has a good physical.

That woman failed to ad populum appeal to pity on me because I a bit careful towards beggars but she was put ad populum appeal to pity to one uncle when I saw that uncle give some donation to her.

Begging look like one of occupation in Malaysia. Malaysia can be describe as a kind. If anything happen Malaysian always give a hand but I hope there are no people that will take advantage for the kindness of Malaysian.

Nando's Ambiguous Advertisements

Hi readers!
Hopefully, all of you have a pleasant day. Thanks for visiting my blog. Keep reading you all :)

______________________________________________________________________

An ambiguous sentence is when thee are two or a few ways a sentence could be understood as a claim. An ambiguous is a series of statement that is worded in such a way as to make a listener/reader lose track of "which one" you are talking about.

I have 2 examples from the advertisement made by nando's.

This photo has taken by me at Jalan Bukit Bintang which is area prostitution activities happen. At night they will see a lot of  "Ayam" hanging around here. Malay calls AYAM as prostitute however Nandos do not advertise of this dirty business, as my understanding "banyak ayam" means wanted to tell us about their a lot brunches are nearby at Sungei Wang, Pavilion KL and Berjaya Times Square. I found this ambiguous advertisement is funny :)

Another Nandos advertisement that the sentences confuses the reader because it could refer to one thing or another thing and still make sense. The word "Fuel" is referring which one? are they help us to fuel our car or feed us with chicken? Since Nandos is a restaurant, we understand that "Fuel" is the place to get full.

Better words

The Tu Quoque meaning is "being just like the person". It involves a speaker (or writer) making an argument that points out someone has the same fault he is accusing the speaker (or writer) of having.

This situation happened when I drove my car with my sisters and my nephew. My nephew about to tell us a story that happened in his school. I advise my nephew to not use "aku or engkau" when he talk to his friends but at schools, many of his friends used "aku and engkau" and he looks like influenced by that. I just to teach him how to be polite. I advised him to not follows his friend. Just be yourself and keep use "saya and awak".

Suddenly, when I talk to my sisters and use those words, he started to commented me. He said, "you use "aku" and "engkau" but why me can't say like that"?  Then i just corrected my word with use "saya and kakak" and i commented that he wrongly heard the conversation. :) Started from that, I use "saya and kakak" in-front of him. Even I know he will use those words along he grows up, I just want he knows which words are better.

My nephew Imran 5 years back and now.
